The Documentum Administrator is responsible for end-user support functions, day-to-day production support and application-related operational activities for managing the Documentum applications.
The Documentum Administrator provides a single point of contact for server and systems related issues as they relate to a Documentum environment.
The Documentum Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration support and maintenance of all hardware and software required for conducting business in a Documentum platform as well as for the health and operational uptime of the systems required by Documentum.The primary duties of the Documentum Administrator are as follows:
- Develop and provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical end-user support related to Documentum.
- Perform moderately complex systems and database administration.
- Monitor and tune appropriate systems to ensure optimum level of performance.
- Manage the installation, configuration support and maintenance of the Documentum technology platform.
- Oversee and apply required application upgrades and security patches to maintain system integrity.
- Support complex data/media recoverability through system backups and database archive operations.
- Plan, coordinate and direct appropriate level data refresh strategies.
- Oversee, recommend and implement appropriate level database solutions and enhancements to ensure an improvement in system reliability and performance.
- Collect and review system data for capacity and planning purposes, analyze capacity data and develop capacity plans for appropriate level enterprise-wide systems.
- Monitor usage logs to assist in performance tuning of the systems and servers.
- Perform analysis and make recommendations regarding systems-related hardware and software.
- Analyze server and network activity and maintain performance monitoring systems.
