Our Client is a diversified exploration company focused on developing unconventional resources in Europe, specifically targeting areas that are prospective for shale gas. The company was originally founded in Australia. Through its Polish subsidiary the company holds concession over 1.8 million acres in Poland. There are currently over a dozen outstanding applications throughout other Europe. In June 2011, the senior management relocated its headquarters to London, UK.

We are currently looking for a Geophysicist to join Warsaw office. The person will be responsible for coordination of geophisics works on companys concessions. All the work at the moment would be in Poland, mainly across Jurassic and Carboniferous licenses. However, further work in projects in other countries may arise from time to time. On a day-to-day basis this role reports directly to Exploration Director.

The ideal candidate is a motivated, self managed worker, competent in loading seismic data into software such as SMT Kingdom or IHS PETRA with interpretation experience in one of the two mapping packages aforementioned; competent in managing 2D acquisition programs, good relations with PGI (Polish Geological Institute) in order to obtain pre-existing seismic efficiently, experience in managing re-processing projects, geology or geophysics academic degree.
